Create a Front Range Airport Mutual Aid Compact (FRAMAC)
Share emergency plans, ICS templates, and resource lists
Coordinate tabletop drills or incident debriefs (e.g., runway excursions)
The Front Range Airport Mutual Aid Compact (FRAMAC) is a collaborative initiative that enhances emergency preparedness and response across regional airports. Through twice-yearly sync meetings, airports share resources, standardize planning, and coordinate drills to strengthen mutual aid capabilities.
Cadence: Two Annual FRAMAC Sync Meetings
Spring Sync (March): Prepares for wildfire and storm season. Focus is on readiness, inter-airport coordination, and resource visibility.
Fall Sync (October): Follows peak operational season. Focus is on debriefs, after-action reviews, and winter readiness.
Spring Sync – Readiness & Planning
Align Airport Emergency Plans (AEPs) and ICS templates
Update shared resource inventories (e.g., ARFF, plows, barriers)
Coordinate mutual aid contacts and MOUs
Plan tabletop drill scenarios (e.g., large aircraft incident, fuel spill)
Wildfire season readiness briefing with local/state partners
Fall Sync – Incident Debriefs & Winter Prep
Share real-world incident case studies and after-action reports
Review FICON reporting, NOTAM coordination, and winter ops plans
Conduct or recap FRAMAC tabletop exercise
Plan live drills or multi-airport coordination exercises
Revisit and re-sign the FRAMAC agreement as needed
Together, these sessions create a proactive and connected emergency planning culture across the Front Range airport system.
